How to delete one mis-spelled email address from auto-complete list

I previously mis-spelled an email address when sending a message .... and now, that mis-spelled address is displayed in the auto-complete list each time I begin to type the correct email address.

This is NOT an issue with my contact list ... I do not have a contact defined for this address.

I do have this option enabled:  Give suggestions for anyone I've communicated with (contacts and non-contacts) and I want to keep that option enabled. I realize that I could select this option: Only suggest people in my contact list, and the mis-spelled address would not appear in the auto-complete list .... but I want the auto-complete function to give suggestions from both contacts and non-contacts.

What I am looking for is the ability to delete one entry from the non-contact addresses that are maintained by the auto-complete feature. Can this be done in Outlook.com??

    HAHAHA ....... FUNNY FUNNY

    This threat demonstrates the customer-service in the IT business in general (so I think).

    Hotmail(Outlook) is a free service, yeah, but WHY leave loads of customers frustrated.

    That will NEVER be good marketing.

    I have MANY entries/email in my autocomplete that I will like to delete.

    But I don't wanna sit and send an email, ten times, to all of them.

    I'm waiting - for Microsoft to fix this apparently enormous difficult problem.

    The problem also existed when Hotmal was just Hotmail.

    I was actually investigating into this issue 2 years before Hotmail was turned into Outlook.

    Microsof is a looooong time underway with this fix.

    I start to think they are either UNWILLING or UNABLE to fix it.

    Wonder if the marketing-department knows what's going on here.

    Looks like i just figured this one out with thanks to all of you and especially Langware for being persistent. I had the same problem of auto populating the misspelled email. After reading this thread I realized I may be able to get the email to populate into frequently contacted if I sent it a few times, 10 was the magic number that displayed the email with the X, clicked it, problem solved, INSTANTLY!

    It is been two years ever since Microsoft was forwarding this issue to the "Product group"... two years and counting.

    I am experiencing the same issues Langware is describing. I have now gone through many discussion forums where the so-called experts admit there is NO fix for this. It is sad when Microsoft blames users' browser not being up-to-date. It is a sad state of affairs when one believes hundreds of users are wrong and the developers believe they are the only ones to be right. The frustration is mounting and can only increase even more.

    I would explain the issue again but I cannot do it better than user Langware has already done. Once you misspelt an email address and send the email, you may delete it from frequent list but not from auto-suggested addresses later on. So simple. It beggars belief that all replies from Microsoft are without even trying to replicate the issue.

    Sad.

    Dear Carlo,

    so basically Microsoft has a list of every single e-mail address we sent e-mails to, even the misspelled ones, and we cannot see its content as a full report, nor edit it.

    I guess this is covered by the terms of use, and falls within current regulations?
