Hello,

When I try to log in to Hotmail using my other account, I get the message "It looks like someone else might be using your account". On the next screen I get "There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later."

I have tried this on several computers using Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. This is going on for several days now. Please suggest on how to solve this.

    Hello I have the same issue as everyone else; when trying to verify my account it comes up with the same  error messages. 

    I have also tried doing all the many other various things which you suggested such as; emptying my cache and trying to do this proccess on a different computer but it won't work. Please can you help me sessile this issue as there are many important emails which i need to access for work which I am doing at University. I am having to use my friends account to write this information so I will have to send you my information by private message, Thank you

    Here is a problem.

    If you set your reset password link to another email account or cell phone and that e mail account or phone service that has now been closed, now there is no where for the code to go.

    So then you think, well just send it to a different email address or to my new cell phone number.

    No problem, but,

    Now you find that you have to wait 30 days before you can use it and if you are locked out of your account, well too bad.

    If you depend on Outlook for business or personal use. Oh well stuff happens.

    This has happened to a lot of people here.

    In fact just messing around with your e mail settings can get you accidently locked out for 30 days.

    This has also happened to a lot of people here.

    Is there a way around this? Not that I have ever seen here yet.

    Such is the "wonderful" Outlook.

    But that is just one of the problems you can run into by using Outlook.

    There is more.

    Yeah, that helps when trying to log in, but not for other problems such as trying to close your account or being locked out of your account.

    I used a tip mentioned by one of the users on this thread and it worked for me. Don't try to login normally to hotmail. Instead choose forgot password and have hotmail send you a reset password link (to another email address) Now rest your password and login with the new one. Good luck.
