When trying to add my old Hotmail alias to my Outlook account, I get this message: "This email address is part of a reserved domain such as live.com, hotmail.com, or msn.com. Please enter a different email address."

How can I add my Hotmail account to my Outlook?

Hi,

As I understand you want to accounts to share one mailbox. Let me assist you on this.

If you have two Outlook.com accounts, you can’t add this as an alias for the other since they are already Microsoft account.

If your third party account was already registered as Microsoft account, you cannot also add this as alias. You can only add an existing email address as an alias if it is not yet registered as Microsoft account.

If you want to manage several accounts in one mailbox, you can use mail client like Windows Live Mail. You can also use Outlook.com to send and receive emails from other account that uses POP.     Thats a completely non-sensical reason.

    If one of your accounts are hacked then accounts which are linked are also hacked. Tahts teh case with pretty much anything, and the reason why you can change your sign in preferences, so you can make it so that you can only sign in from one account, in fact makes it safer, as although you may have 5 accounts, of one of them can be used anyway.

    Well, I made an Alias because I didn't find a certain Xbox Volunteer helpful with my question, and upon making this new Alias, my main address for everything was removed. Now on my mobile device my Email says it is unable to be logged into and I am unable to get my Email back as an Alias because "it is part of a reserved domain"
