I don't want to share account. I simply don't use the email address I created the xbox account with.

instead the email address I use now has lots of picrosoft paid services that goes with it, and is the email address I always use and would like it to be my username for my xbx account. but when I try to change email to new one, I get the above error message.

Hello my problem is that I was having issues with my Hotmail account with 10 mail. so I tried to remove my Hotmail. alias by creating another first. the removed the hot mail one.  now my computer will not boot up completely because I used a system restore point which put my old alias in . And Microsoft no longer recognizes . the removed Hotmail account name. I tried to create it back in the alias area in my account on the web with another computer but I'm not allowed to, because of this message reserved domain. how can I reset my Hotmail alias now that it has been removed. so I can use my win 10 computer . please help

okay so this is about 2 years old and now i'm having the same trouble as this poor person. so in retrospect i'll give a better explanation since a majority of your team doesnt seem to understand what his saying.

When i made my microsoft account it was more then 5+ years ago and when this whole thing started it was back in the glory days of when yahoo, hotmail, and etc could not be linked at all. so when outlook came out and linked them all i was fairly happy, but not with my old email. i wanted a more professional one gudel90 was something i made as a kid i'm talking like 7 years old,(cute right?) now i'm 26 i think i've had my new professional email since 2008 which looks so much nicer, but what you guys dont seem to understand is we can neither add a back up email to our accounts nor any email for that matter.

heres the problem how can we add an alias if all our accounts are now linked with the new system?

now this is bad because 1. i never made my hotmail email into a outlook/mirosoft account 2. yes my email is that old as well 3. since i'mn using windows 10 i want to change the email to my new one, but it seems that i will lose everything on my account if i try to delete my asp.net machine account, because i'm having trouble linking the two accounts.

i just want to be able to change my original microsoft account with the gudel90 and update it to my new email from hotmail, because as stated by you i have to either delete it or let it be inactive for a year which is impossible with how you forced my hand. (insert grumpy face here) now with deleting i made all my purchases on the gudel90 for my xbox360 and according to 'logic' i will lose that information and would have to repurchase everything again and i'm not willing to repay for up to $300+ games, because that is really messed up. now another thing that was stated is i could delete my hotmail one and then add it on, but again i would have to wait a year for this to work and by then i would be very pissed off customer and highly dis-satisfied with your company, which i'll be honest i'm already dis-satisfied find this out in this way. now you guys need to bring up a new updating system or make it so that the security is better when linking/updating accounts, because 1 what you did was totally a wrong  way of going about things 2 no one is gonna wait a year cooldown for this, 3 its not the hard to make a better security option, and lasty 4 dont automatically make our accounts a microsoft account. thanks to you my hotmail account is automatically made into a microsoft account without me even manually doing it. also next time send a mass email to every registered email detailing everything from how oyu are gonna change things to what we need to do to update our stuff before you what to force us into it yourself. i'm your client you're the professional, fix it, because i'm forced to use this pos of a problem that you guys forced on all of us, because its really sad that this thread is more then 2+ old and i'm still going through the pages not only here, but just google pages of how everyone is have the same problem since its the most searched even today. :/

Apparently my primary email address is reserved but I am unable to access it using your program.  instead I am using an email I no longer use for anything.  how can I use my primary email instead?????
