When trying to add my old Hotmail alias to my Outlook account, I get this message: "This email address is part of a reserved domain such as live.com, hotmail.com, or msn.com. Please enter a different email address."

How can I add my Hotmail account to my Outlook?

Hi,

As I understand you want to accounts to share one mailbox. Let me assist you on this.

If you have two Outlook.com accounts, you can’t add this as an alias for the other since they are already Microsoft account.

If your third party account was already registered as Microsoft account, you cannot also add this as alias. You can only add an existing email address as an alias if it is not yet registered as Microsoft account.

If you want to manage several accounts in one mailbox, you can use mail client like Windows Live Mail. You can also use Outlook.com to send and receive emails from other account that uses POP.     Dear Support, 

    i am facing issue on my hotmail account please guide main on that, 

    what i did actually i have added my gmail account to Aliases and deleted current Hotmail ID, now i am able to login with gmail account to hotmail but cannot receive and send email through that ID .. and i am not even able to login with that ID.

    Please help me with that .. as this ID is very import to me.

    omar_******@hotmail.com (not Active)

    You can now only choose between @hotmail.com and @outlook.com.

    Where is my original Hotmail email address???  Not only can I not receive emails, now when I send an email, it is being sent from a different email address other than Hotmail.  On top of that, my new Hotmail address, "Outlook.com" has lost all of my contacts from my original Hotmail email address, as well as all my folders.  I want separate email addresses.
