How do I remove ads from Outlook.com

I NEVER WANTED TO CHANGE FROM HOTMAIL BUT NOE THAT IT WAS FORCED UPON ME HOW DO I REMOVE THE VERY ANNOYING ADS TO THE RIGHT OF MY EMAILS AND OBSCURE MY VIEW OF THE WHOLE EMAIL

The ads are how Microsoft makes the money to keep Outlook free.

You can upgrade to Outlook Plus (paid) to be rid of them permanently.

 If you have PLUS and ads please contact the Billing Department.

If you are using Firefox you can use either popup blocker or No-script but neither will reclaim the space the ads take up.

    Hello TOLKIEN1,

    Thank you for bringing this issue to us.

    I understand that you want to remove the ads from your Outlook.com interface, and you were able to remove the ads from your Hotmail interface.

    Please be informed that even if you can remove the ads from your Hotmail interface, it will still show the advertisements after you log in again to your Hotmail account. In this case, Outlook.com is designed as it is, and we can't do an adjustment on our end to remove the ads, unless you are an Ad-free Outlook.com subscriber.

    I have now been forced to look at a McDonald's ad for McGrill burger for nearly 2 months!

    You can easily remove ads in Outlook ....

    If you use Firefox, try this add-on:

    Thanks, using IE, which of course is unstable and useless, but had problems with chrome, now thinking about firefox. I really just want to post this comment to give Microsoft even more ideas about how offensive this ad thing is and unnecessary for a billion dollar profit making company. Do they really was McDomald's ads on their products...?  If so there may come a time when I just leave this email service.

    Microsoft taking over Hotmail was a horrible and unfortunate occurrence that brings few positives and loads of negatives . As usual with Microsoft everything has a price.  A major reason why I have moved away form a Microsoft platform and to Android and will be converting my email over to Gmail.
