How do I remove ads from Outlook.com

I NEVER WANTED TO CHANGE FROM HOTMAIL BUT NOE THAT IT WAS FORCED UPON ME HOW DO I REMOVE THE VERY ANNOYING ADS TO THE RIGHT OF MY EMAILS AND OBSCURE MY VIEW OF THE WHOLE EMAIL

The ads are how Microsoft makes the money to keep Outlook free.

You can upgrade to Outlook Plus (paid) to be rid of them permanently.

 If you have PLUS and ads please contact the Billing Department.

If you are using Firefox you can use either popup blocker or No-script but neither will reclaim the space the ads take up.

    There is absolutely no reason for a multi-kajillion-dollar business to foist ads on its one free service.  

    Agreed!

    But until Microsoft removes the ads .... you can take matters into your own hands.

    If you use Firefox, try this add-on:

    Although not actually removing them, I open hotmail in a second browser (I use internet explorer) and resize and move it so that the adds are off the screen.  I then do my browsing in Chrome.  The adds are still there but I can't see them so they don't bother me.

    I have found that if I click on the icon at the top of the ad panel, it sort of removes the ads. Admittedly, it does bring up slightly larger panel saying 'Can't connect to Messaging', but at least every time I click on an email to read it, I don't have to wait for the ads to load before the email does!

    DID YOU EVER GET AN ANSWER TO THIS. I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE TO COPY THE E-MAIL THEN PASTE IT TO A WP DOCUMENT TO NOT HAVE THE ADS PRINTED. THANKS
