Hi,

I need to remove contacts of gmail from outlook.com people. I have posted this problem in this thread

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/mail-people/i-need-remove-google-contacts-urgent/1a49dda4-ae2a-474a-b15c-17ba84ab0364?page=4

and I was asked by Forum moderators Alden D. and John Paul M. to create a new thread so that a moderator can properly address to me. Now I am waiting for a moderator to address to me.

The problem I am facing is I am unable to remove gmail contacts from outlook.com account. Many people seems to have the same problem

Br,

Mikko

June 2015 For Outlook.com you can not remove one contact.  You have to remove all google contacts.  Follow the instructions posted below

     1.     Sign in here https://profile.live.com/cid-e69224bfe91692c9/services/?biciid=accounts&view=manage

     2.     Click Edit under the connected service that you want to remove your Microsoft account from. Ex. Google

     3.     Click Remove this connection completely.

     4.     Click Remove.

Thank you but I already figured out a workaround.  I backed up and then deleted my Google contacts.  I would have much preferred your way but I've already done the deed.

    Hi,

We apologize for the delayed response. If you want to remove the contacts of your Gmail but want to stay connected to your Gmail account by means of sending and receiving, follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to https://outlook.com/
    2. Click the gear icon on the upper right part of the screen and select Options
    3. Under Reading email, select Third-party content
    4. Under Showing additional content, click Manage connections
    5. Click Edit beside the Google logo
    6. Then click Remove this connection completely

Now that you have unlinked your Gmail account and its contacts, if by saying you don't want to lose connection to your Gmail account means you still want to send and receive emails then follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to https://outlook.com/
    2. Click the Gear Icon then select Options
    3. Under Managing your account, click Your email accounts
    4. Under Add an email account, click Add a send-and-receive account
    5. Add your preferred account (yahoo, gmail, etc...) make sure that you have enabled pop settings and click Next
    6. Make sure that the password you will use is the password that you use when you sign in to your domain
    7. You will be then asked to create a folder for that email or send it straight to your existing folder

If by any chance this is not the solution to your issue, please provide more information so we can give you the right advice.

    Thank you

I want to remove the connection between Google and my contacts but I don't want to lose the connection with my gmail address.  If I remove this connection completely will I lose the connection to my gmail address?
