I want to rename/merge an account. I have an old hotmail account I want to merge with an existing one, that I created using the new outlook address. I didnt find the rename option in hotmail, untill after I created the new account. I want to merge these two, so that my current hotmail will be a alias, and my skydrive storage will become my outlook skydrive, with the same storage. Please help.

Still having trouble signing in and accessing my account settings, also, I think the calendar notifications are wrong, this really needs fixed! It still is confusing my outlook email for my Hotmail, and its messing things up. And still shows duplicate account aliases, when the primary is supposed to be ******@outlook.com but its showing ******@hotmail.com twice. The Hotmail is supposed to be an alias not the primary account.
Thank you for letting me know that it is being escalated and still being worked on. It is a strange error, many months ago I renamed my hotmail account to a outlook one, but now when I sign in with the outlook address it usually starts of displaying the outlook address in settings or it switches to the hotmail one under settings, and when I go back to the webpage, for checking email, it displays and error that it can't be accessed right now. The only way, to get it to work most of the time is to sign out and sign in again. Its really strange how it is displaying my accounts. And also, is strange that under my aliases it sometimes shows duplicate @hotmail addresses, when one is supposed to be @outlook. Thank you for your help.

No this is not just a problem with windows 8. Its a problem with my Microsoft Account. It is the source of the problem. Since the latest updates to outlook, namely, allowing sign in with aliases, and second step verifications. I log in to my account with my @outlook address, then it sometimes shows under account settings that its my old hotmail address thats supposed to be a alias. Not my main account. My main account is supposed to be @outlook.com.
