Sync Outlook.com Task list to Android phone

I am using outlook.com for my web-based services. I have an android phone (Motorola Droid Razr) on which I have installed the outlook.com app. I have no issues with e-mail or calendar, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the outlook.com 'Tasks' on the phone. Does anyone know how to sync the task list to an android phone?

Just in case anyone else stumbles across this, as I did when trying to sync my outlook tasks to my android calendar...

To accomplish this, set up your Outlook.com email address as a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account in your Android Phone (I have a Note 2). Do this by going to Settings, Accounts, Add account. Then, choose Microsoft ActiveSync account in the next step. Add your Outlook.com address and Password as it walks you through the set-up process. It will, by default, have you set up to sync, email, contacts and tasks. When this is done, go to the calendar app on your phone. Your Outlook tasks should be there along with your calendar entries.

I don't even get events anymore on my LG Android, so I've set up the Google calendar, and will use Outlook for email and the cloud storage (although I've been told that's being cut back to 5 GB free space, from 30 GB). However, the task list on Google so far doesn't display on the Google Calendar app., so ... same problem. I'm getting around it by putting tasks in as events - with a different color for them, or I can schedule reminders on my mobile device. When I first set it up - tasks showed up - then there was an "upgrade", and everything went kablooey . It seems that keeping appointments and to-do lists synched across platforms should be elementary. I hope it's not proprietary concerns preventing a good app from being released

Well I was getting the tasks (featured in green) in Calendar view on my phone. I just checked, and my calendar acct. and tasks have been set to off, and no tasks or appointments are syncing. Time to give in to Google, I think.

Microsofts Android version of Outlook does NOT sync or even show tasks. Google's own Calendar on Android does not support tasks.

Sony and Samsung phones have a version of the Android Calendar app which has tasks support. They don't show up in the Calendar itself unfortunately, but in another view, which is good but not perfect.

An app called "Tasks & Notes" can sync tasks to & from Outlook.com. It's a bit of a mess though, with a crazy amount of functionality, badly organized. It costs a few coins. Best about this app is (other than that it exists :) that it can force the tasks to show in the calendar's weekly, monthly and so on views, just like on the desktop Outlook. Hopefully someday Google's Calendar can do this.

Another option is to move the tasks to a separate todo app, like Todoist or Wunderlist, which Microsoft recently bought. But then they are not accessible in Outlook (unless you happen to have Office 365 or the new Office 365 interface in Outlook.com already - it's coming to everybody. If you do, there is now an Outlook add-in to support Wunderlist tasks).
