I have tried and tried to block all the sexual emails I get in my Junk folder the more I block the more I get.  WHY?  There is not a way to restrict them I have tried.  Please I am so tired of them.  I want to close my Hotmail account I have had for years, that is how sick and tired of them I am.  Because my name is the email account you just let anyone post email to it? I would hate to close my account, and I like my name being on it.  How can I fix this it is important.

If outlook.com is sending these messages to Junk, they're being (in outlook terms) "blocked."

You cannot create a rule to delete or do anything else to these messages. Rules don't work in the Junk folder.

Look through the Junk folder every day or two to see if legitimate messages were sent to Junk and delete the messages that really are spam/junk.

    Hi Christian,

Thank you for keeping us updated and we apologize for the delay in response.

I suggest you to set your Junk email filter to Exclusive and check if it helps.

**Note:**If the Exclusive level was set, messages from senders not on your Contacts or Safe senders lists will be sent to the Junk folder. By default, the Junk folder will automatically delete messages after 10 days.

To set your Junk email filter to Exclusive in Outlook.com please follow the steps below:

    1. Click on the gear icon.
    2. From the list select Options.
    3. Expand Junk >>Filters and reporting.
    4. Under Choose a junk email filterselect Exclusive.
    5. Click save.

Let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to help.

    Thank you.

That is a pathetically inadequate solution.

I'm trying to run a small business - I can't just block every potential customer.

It's time the senders of this junk (all junk?) were stopped at source.

Perhaps we should all forward ALL our junk mail to Microsoft - then a solution might be found!

I have done the above, setting my junk mail to exclusive and the sexual emails still come in!!  Unfortunately I do have to always check my junk mail since my mail is set to exclusive, anything that is not recognized as safe goes to junk.

I want this resolved.  These kind of emails should not even be coming into my junk email.  The blocked subjects/keywords should be picking it up and sending directly to delete.

    Need a solution please!

This is not a viable solution. It appears we have ALL tried the steps Microsoft has given us, to no avail. Simply put, we don't want them in our Outlook AT ALL. We don't want it in our inboxes, nor do we want to sift through this garbage in our junk folders. I have tried "unsubscribing", which was probably a mistake because it only validates that my email is operating, but there has got to be something that can be done to make this end. It's not feasible to delete junk email immediately because sometimes non-junk ends up there. We need a REAL solution.
