I have tried and tried to block all the sexual emails I get in my Junk folder the more I block the more I get.  WHY?  There is not a way to restrict them I have tried.  Please I am so tired of them.  I want to close my Hotmail account I have had for years, that is how sick and tired of them I am.  Because my name is the email account you just let anyone post email to it? I would hate to close my account, and I like my name being on it.  How can I fix this it is important.

If outlook.com is sending these messages to Junk, they're being (in outlook terms) "blocked."

You cannot create a rule to delete or do anything else to these messages. Rules don't work in the Junk folder.

Look through the Junk folder every day or two to see if legitimate messages were sent to Junk and delete the messages that really are spam/junk.

We're sorry for the inconvenience as you're receiving a lot of Junk mails. Let me see what  I can do to help you with this problem. Just to make sure  I won't be providing you same steps, can you please give us the exact steps you've taken in blocking those e-mails? Let us know.

If you haven't tried blocking the e-mail address or domain whose sending you those e-mails, I suggest that you do so. Check out the following steps:

Check your Blocked sender list.

Sign in to your account. Go to inbox.

  1. Click Options located at the upper-right side of the page.
  2. Select More Options.
  3. Under Preventing junk email, click Safe and blocked senders.
  4. Click Blocked senders. ( add the e-mail address or domain/website in the field under Blocked email address or domain: )
  5. Click Add to list >>.

I hope this helps. Let us know the result. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to post back.

Thanks!

Why can't Microsoft do anything? It's obvious from all the comments that none of us is clicking on these messages, we all try to block them and that just makes it worse, and we have to search through this junk to make sure that Microsoft hasn't sent a message we do want to junk. In fact, what drives me crazy is the reality that I can't block what I want to block, but I also can't get them to unblock the messages that I tell them are from trusted senders--including my own alternate email that is forwarded to my Outlook account!

I wish there was a way to forward the 1000's of filthy junk emails we get directly to Microsoft!   Let them deal with it!  They obviously don't give a hoot~ maybe they would if they had to deal with it daily.

Hopefully, everyone has finally received the wonder results that I have.  ALL THE NASTY, SEXY Junk mails are no longer in my junk box.  My junk has gone from about 150 of those, to NONE, only normal junk mail.  Thank you Microsoft!!
