I have tried and tried to block all the sexual emails I get in my Junk folder the more I block the more I get.  WHY?  There is not a way to restrict them I have tried.  Please I am so tired of them.  I want to close my Hotmail account I have had for years, that is how sick and tired of them I am.  Because my name is the email account you just let anyone post email to it? I would hate to close my account, and I like my name being on it.  How can I fix this it is important.

If outlook.com is sending these messages to Junk, they're being (in outlook terms) "blocked."

You cannot create a rule to delete or do anything else to these messages. Rules don't work in the Junk folder.

Look through the Junk folder every day or two to see if legitimate messages were sent to Junk and delete the messages that really are spam/junk.

I, too, have seen a sudden upswing of adult related emails coming into my Outlook.com account that I had not been seeing before. I even have a MyPoints email coming through that was successfully blocked in Hotmail now getting forwarded to Outlook with the rest of my regular forwarded mail from Hotmail.

The bottom line is that something has happened to Hotmail that is now allowing blocked mail to be forwarded as regular mail. This previously was not a problem till within the last couple of weeks and since then it's taking off like a virus. This is a Microsoft issue with Hotmail. I know they want to get rid of it and it may be more prudent to just switch over to Outlook since any 'odd' emails can be blocked with a single click from the junk mail folder.

Come on Microsoft, you can do better than this.

    Rules do not work.

    We need a REAL solution.

I dropped hotmail  a few years back because of this very issue...ready to do it again if the **** spams do not stop.

I do not want my grand daughter or any guest in the room when I open my mail to check it because I'm afraid of what they might see.

    Enough is enough...fix it, please.

This is exactly what is happening to me now. I've created hundreds of rules, and it seems like the more rules I create, the more **** spam I get. This is really getting out of control. Microsoft needs to do something about this NOW!
