I have tried and tried to block all the sexual emails I get in my Junk folder the more I block the more I get.  WHY?  There is not a way to restrict them I have tried.  Please I am so tired of them.  I want to close my Hotmail account I have had for years, that is how sick and tired of them I am.  Because my name is the email account you just let anyone post email to it? I would hate to close my account, and I like my name being on it.  How can I fix this it is important.

If outlook.com is sending these messages to Junk, they're being (in outlook terms) "blocked."

You cannot create a rule to delete or do anything else to these messages. Rules don't work in the Junk folder.

Look through the Junk folder every day or two to see if legitimate messages were sent to Junk and delete the messages that really are spam/junk.

Will it really work if I change companies?  Changing email addresses is a nuisance.

The capability is still there at https://outlook.live.com/owa/?path=/options/inboxrules but if the messages are arriving in the Junk Email folder, rules won't help. Anything coming to the Junk Email folder is already considered blocked. Just ignore the contents of the Junk Email folder. It's junk. It will be deleted automatically after 10 days.

    Really Brian,

How about I just ignore my Microsoft email accounts and switch to some one that has it worked out.  Like gmail or anyone other than MS.

Totally missing the whole point I think... we all have to check junk email folders frequently to see if legit email is there. The fact that this sexual crud will be deleted in 10 days is nonsense... I’d happily forward all of my sexual junkmail to you since it will simply be deleted in 10 days? Why have all of the other major emails ‘figured it out’ but not MS?
