Authentication Failed Error on mobile phone

When trying to access my email on my android phone, it says authentication failed.  I logged into my account on the computer, and it works.  I deleted my account on my phone and tried to set it up again.  I still get the authentication error.  Any ideas??  I have been getting my emails on my phone for over 3 years with no problem (same account.

I have Android 4.03 and this wouldn't work.  It isn't just a firmware issue, it is a problem with the app which only seems to work when you're on Wifi (not when on 3G/4G/LTE).

    How can I get my old email back that I've used for years? I got a new phone but this time it did not let me use my old email, had to make an outlook acct.

    after password, a screen says let this app access your info? email needs your permission to:  Stating Sign in ETc.

    However you have nothing to click on to or anywhere to go. Help

    Only trying to put my Hotmail account onto my Samsung phone G5

    I had Microsoft Outlook email on my android device and have been using it for several years.  I changed phones and am now unable to download a Microsoft outlook app on my phone.  I have been relying on my phone for my emails and can no longer get it on my phone. My password is valid for my computer but when I tried to use it to log in to Microsoft Outlook it did not take it.
