Can the AdChoices bar be removed from Outlook.com?

That does not remove the right hand side ad pane. It just leaves you with dead space. This sucks and I'll be looking for another way to get my mail.

Microsoft "This is NOT GOOD" hate it. Change this back or lose more customers. Google here I come.

If you would read through the entire thread you would have found this:

Install "Webmail Ad Blocker" extension to remove that ANNOYING ad bar on the right.

Do a google search for "Webmail ad blocker" to find the appropriate download for your version of Windows.....

Sooo pleased i read this thread. I installed webmail ad blocker for firefox & it no longer shows that annoying waste of space, grey bar down the right hand side.. I also noticed that my outlook has increased in performance. Still not as good as hotmail was but definately better. I refuse to install Internet Explorer because of how bad it is & i have never had any problems with firefox until Microsoft decided to screw up Hotmail by switching it to Outlook. I had Microsoft suggest that i install Internet Explorer to resolve my slow issues with Outlook, WHATEVER !

No way i am going back to that rubbish, furthermore i think my next PC will be from Apple. I am starting to get a bit fed up with microsoft changing things when there is nothing wrong. I like to choose what i see on my screen & not be dictated to by a large company on what fantastic upgrades they have provided for to make my life better, uumm, i think i am quite capable of making my own decisions thank you.

Any more messing about like this & i will gladly dump microsoft for Gmail, i may do it anyway !

am so pleased, after reading this thread I solved the issue of the annyoing ad bar appearing down the righthand side of my inbox in outlook.com by switching the language back to English US. I had changed to English UK to try and solve a keyboard issue and thats when the ad box appeared. When I changed the language setting it disappeared. I agree that it sucks.

Thanks, this worked for me, but I'm a "paid" subscriber.  Maybe that's why it works for some and not others.

I want to turn off the AdChoices Bar and the person on customer service chat uinstructed me to use this tool to get help.  I have turned off all permission and yet I still have the ad bar - please advise how to remove...
