Can the AdChoices bar be removed from Outlook.com?

Hi guys,

My wife was having this issue and I fixed it following the steps I stated above.

A really weird thing I found with her account is that if she set the language to "Spanish", the grey bar appears.  So, I had to change the language setting to English or any other language and then the grey bar vanished (after doing the steps explained above).

Now, her account and my are not showing that annoying bar anymore.  We don't have to pay for this.

Hi fluffbundle,

The grey boxes on the right pane of your mailbox are the advertisements. This cannot be removed on free accounts. You can upgrade to Ad-free Outlook to remove the advertisements from the your account.

I've just tried this and unfortunately it's made no visible difference.

I've just uploaded a screenshot for Melanie_D so fingers crossed she can resolve it for me.
