Teams hogging memory, running slowly

Hi

Teams is almost killing my laptop. Here's an example:

Is there anything  can do to reduce Teams' memory usage?

Or do I just need to buy more memory?

Looks like disk utilization is your issue, not memory. Teams isn't using much disk time based on your screenshot, either. You should check Performance Monitor and make sure disk queue length isn't high.

Teams doesn't seem to be the problem here.

I have several machines at 100% disk utilization that the cause is the Teams add-in for Outlook 2016. You disable the add in and it goes back to normal.

Can't buy memory on a lot of machines that have RAM soldered in. Your advice quite frankly is ****.

Werner - if you are offended / insulted that is your problem to deal with not mine . You are correct, loads of people are saying 'Sort it out MS' and MS are not listening and in my view has neither the will nor wish to listen to its customers. I merely posted the solution that worked for me.

Others posted this solution earlier in the chain. I chose to ignore such posts and struggled on expecting MS to hopefully pick up on the problem given the scale of frustration expressed and suggest a workaround. It was a forlorn hope and in the end I chose (my choice!) to buy more memory . It worked for me. Making a post that says what worked for me is not insulting unless you choose it to be so. If you do so, fair enough but it is your choice to take insult , none is intended from me.

Very helpful...there are hundres of people shouting "Help, this is **** despite us paying for it" and you point out the one post that is potentially(!) flawed. Just dont post, this is insulting.
