I am using the new outlook desktop app and this no longer adds capitals to a sentence even tho everything is turned on. I believe I'm not the first to raise this. can this please be fixed or can i be pointed in the direction of how to correct this.

    Hi Kathy-

Do you have a timeline on when this will be updated? Perhaps someone can do a "ctrl + c" from the old code along with a "ctrl + v" into the new code to move this basic functionality over? Maybe we could even use Copilot to do it for us?

    Thanks-

    Ryan

I agree. We live in a day and time, that we're use to everything capitalizing for us. The act of Shift + Letter, is disappearing. Sounds ridiculous, but that small action, frustrates me and slows down work flow. The editor, though robust, not as straightforward as it has been in the past.

Another feature that I've missed is when I double-click on an email, to open it, that making it "marked as read". That is not an option within the new Outlook.

Another frustrating feature - right click to edit an word - whether that be spell check, etc. That is now left click...why? Where else is that ever left click? Even Copy and Paste doesn't work properly??

I will continue to use the older version of Outlook.

    Hi Kathy,

I totally agree with @Neil Kennett and others and like him who have moved back to the old Outlook, I have too. It seems kind of strange that an application upgrade (supposedly) leaves out functionality from older versions. Strange are the ways of Microsoft!

I am having the same issue. I love that the old version would auto correct and assume text. I am finding that the new version does not auto capitalize and does not auto correct. I like the look of the new but I miss the simple features of the old. I have to go back and make sure I correct the mistakes of not having the auto correct and auto capitalize.

    Please fix!!!!!!!
