Insider Fast: Our initial 64-bit release of Office 2016 for Mac is now live!

Hello Office for Mac Insiders,

We have released the first drop of a fully 64-bit version of Office 2016 for Mac to the Insider Fast channel! The update number is 15.25 (160630). I do encourage Insider Fast users to install this update and give it a test. We want to know about any problems you encounter as soon as possible, so that we can make sure we address them before the official release.

This is a huge update for Office and something that we have been working towards for a very long time. I’m thrilled to finally have it available for testing!

The Insider Fast channel is intended for early adopters and those wanting the earliest view into upcoming releases, and the 64-bit version will progress to the Insider Slow channels and to widespread publication over time. I can’t speak to a specific date for that wide release for you yet, so please send us your feedback as soon as you can.

    Since this morning MAU proposes me the 15.25 version....coool...and i worked with it since a few hours and no problem ;)

    Looks like this issue is fixed.  MAU found new build (15.25 - 160713) today and updated office to 15.25.  I've been trying to get this build for the last 3 days as mentioned in the above comments.

    Vamsi, Jean_Yannis: Sorry you're running into this. Can you take a look at Paul's replies on the following thread let us know if it helps unblock you?

    The majority of Paul's comments in that thread address a different problem where a user attempts to install the updates, but they fail.

    My problem is that when I click "Check for Updates" it says there are no updates available. I can't even see the update.

    I've tried turning off the insider updates and turning them back on to fast, but no luck. The only comment Paul makes with respect to this specific issue is:

    "First up, that you're not seeing Word 15.25 when opting into Fast is a known issue that we're working on - essentially, you're now on 15.24 [160707] and the Word on Insider Fast is 15.25 [160707] but AutoUpdate is incorrectly assuming that as the build dates are identical that there is no update to offer. This is bug #773863 which we're in the process of fixing, but it'll need a new build of AutoUpdate to be published. However, there will be a new Insider Fast build posted on Wednesday, and this implicitly will have a higher build date, so it'll work around the bug."

    So has this fix been posted?

    Paul posted direct links to the 15.24 update for those struggling to get to version 15.24. Could you please post the direct link to version 15.25
