Outlook client no longer showing "Coming Soon" or the "Use Tighter Spacing" buttons

Hello,

I have the same problem since a few weeks.

The checkbox "coming soon" has disappeared on my three PC which were connected to my Office 365 account.

And the "Tighter Spacing" has also disappeared.

For all after a Microsoft Office update of the Office Insider channel.

The display of the Outlook window returned to the old Office 2016 theme.

I think it's an update who accidently delete the "coming soon" function (and I don't know why the "Tighter Spacing" is reserved to the "Coming soon" function ...).

Microsoft must restore this fonctionnality to get back the "Tighter Spacing".

I have tried to update manually Office but the last updates have not reactivated the "Coming Soon" ...

    So, I had to park this, as I was travelling a lot for work, and barely using the PC that had this issue.

    I have since returned, and still had the problem. However, I noticed on my account details under Excel that it had my wrong Office365 subscription (it was an old one that I had more than 2 years ago upgraded!).

    I upgraded the sub, and so far since, it has all worked as supposed to. 

    So that has worked for me - might be worth checking (if you are on Office365), but I suspect this won't be the issues for many people, and that there is therefore still a problem somewhere that ideally MS needs to take a look at!

    Okay, just to know, are you using the insider channel ? If yes, mensual or insider ?

    I am sure that it's a Microsoft Office update ...

    Hi tnicolas, original poster here (!)

    I no longer have "Coming Soon" as an option at all. But I do intermittently get "Tighter Spacing" (eg it was there yesterday, but not today!)

    So to confirm, it IS possible to have "Tighter Spacing" without "Coming Soon".

    But not having "Tighter Spacing" is frustrating - even more so as it is coming and going with me (it works fine on 2 PCs, and is on-and-off on 1 other PC)

    Hello,

    Ok, I understand for the Coming Soon option.

    Actually, I use the 1907 (11901.20038) version with Office Insider option of Outlook.

    It's the last version of the Insider branch.

    Fot the "Use tighter spacing button", I havn't this option anymore since 2-3 weeks and this option was so convenient and productively !!

    Must I quit the insider branch to have again this "Use tighter spacing button" option ?

    I have losted this option on my three computers which were on the Insider branch after an Office update 2-3 weeks ago.

    Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community. Coming Soon option IS NOT always available in Outlook. Coming Soon is designed to share significant changes that will soon roll out to Office 365 customers.  The Coming Soon button and on/off toggle not be visible once those updates are fully rolled out to production and will appear again only when Microsoft plans to introduce additional, material changes in Outlook for Windows.

    Further for “Use tighter spacing button” is available in Outlook 1906 version, so could you please kindly check your outlook version and share us the detail information with screenshot of your Outlook version?
