Installation on MAC OS 11.4

"Yesterday, Saturday July 31, 2021, I purchased Office 365 for MAC. I installed over a working previous copy of 365 and all went well. Upon trying to use Word, I received a message, "Your account ___@___.___ has an expired Microsoft 365 subscription". I called up the "about Word box and saw that my current copy was A) not activated and B) had no product ID # (ID# reads 0000-000-000000). I called up a blank page in word and was informed I have no internet connection as well. I am currently using that non-existent connection to send this message. I've checked everywhere still no result or answers. HELP!""

First I want to thank all of the people that did their best to help with this problem.  I was pleased and amazed at the response to my request for help.  Thank you one and all.  I have found the problem and wish to share the fix.  In desperation, I attempted to register the Excel program.  It Worked! Internet access was instant and allowed registration for Excel. I tried to see if booting in “Safe” mode would allow the Word program to access the internet.  It did not.  Then I ask what programs could block internet access for one program in Office Suite and not others.  I have installed in my Apple MAC Book Pro, a Version 10.9.14 of Intego NetBarrier.  As instructed when installing the new Office 365 suite, I turned off the NetBarrier so it would not interfere with the installation.  After installing and rebooting I turned NetBarrier back on.  After guessing my problem had something to do with the firewall, I looked at the NetBarrier applications and applications rules.  That is where I found three Word rules that were in contradiction to my operation of Word.  One rule gave Word “Allow Connections”.  Two rules BLOCKED all access to Word!  I hit “Edit”, removed both Blocked entries and Eureka!  Word registered and has worked perfectly since.  Hope this helps others.

    Please try the following steps and check again.

    1. Sign out your account
    2. Download and run the license removal tool to remove the existing license
    3. Sign in your account to activate Office again.

    Every once in a while Word forgets it is signed in.

    1. Go to the templates gallery (File > New from Template)
    2. Click the circle in the upper left corner and then log out
    3. Restart your Mac
    4. Return to the circle and sign back in

    The account is **********@*******.net. Here is a screen shot of my renewal yesterday, July 31. also a screen shot of the About Word. I attempted to get a screen shot of the Word doc page but now get a new error message, see screen shot below.
