I am having trouble in updating my Office 365 Programs on my MacBook Pro running BigSur.

the current version is 16.43.20110804, and the Microsoft AutoUpdate detects, that there is already the version 16.44.20112300 available.

When starting the update, AutoUpdate starts do download the new pograms, and then try to install them. The Installation Process fails at the very end. AutoUpdate just reports that there have been issues updating.

It fails for

  • Excel
  • Powerpoint
  • Word
  • Outlook
  • Onedrive

Below is the information from the AutoUpdate.log file, when I restart the update for Excel.

There's a new version of AutoUpdate today.

Download a copy of the current version of AutoUpdate from this link, install and then run AutoUpdate to bring your installation to current update level, then restart your Mac. If the updater does not open automatically after download, double-click the downloaded .pkg file. Click this link to download the updater. The update is free.
