Skype for Business not working on Mac using Mojave 10.14.5

I have recently upgraded my MAC OS to Mojave 10.14.5 and my Skype for Business has stopped working. It won't load at all, just the icon appears in the dock but nothing else happens.

I have deleted and reinstalled multiple times now, following instructions to clear the cache etc but nothing appears to have worked.

I am also unable to open through the meeting link and then the web app but I then receive "There is no application set to open the URL"

Is there a solution to this?

    Hello BexBrougham ,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community. Regarding your description about “Skype for Business not working on Mac using Mojave 10.14.5”, Mac on 10.14 Mojave supports “Office 365/2019 - Build 16.17.0 or later; Office 2016 - Build 16.16.2 or later; Skype for Business 16.21.65 or later version.” So would like to suggest you to kindly check your skype for business version and also be sure that your Office apps are up-to-date.

As Skype for business doesn’t load in MAC, to check the version, open any other Office app and check if there’s any update releases for Skype for Business and update it and try to restart Mac and app.

Moreover, could you please kindly provide us the detailed information of your Skype for Business version?

    Thanks and regards,
