Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

    Be sure to click the Smile button in PowerPoint and report this problem, too. Reporting here is OK, but an additional report to the team won't hurt.

    I'm having the exact same issue as the OP. Exporting to PDF (either via "Export..." or "Save as..." commands) yields a PDF with erroneously thick lines and borders. Even underlined text is at issue. See the sample screenshots below. I've tried updating to "Office Insider Fast" build but the issue persists.

    Here are the troubleshooting steps I've tried:

    • Selectively exporting individual slides (issue persist)
    • My slide contents in a new template (issue persist)
    • A completely new file  (issue persist)
    • Old files that never had an issue before (issue persist)
    • Using an online PPT -> PDF converted (border issue solved, but font issues exist, so it's not a workable solution)
