Unable to collapse the left side panel in teams anymore

As of yesterday, the display of my teams will no longer collapse the left side panel. I've tried settings, restarting the app, and restarting the computer. It used to open after selecting one of the options next to it, like chat or teams and then it would automatically close after I selected what I wanted from those options. How do I get it to collapse again?

Close app- go into the start menu- microsoft teams- right click- more- settings- reset. None of the other things worked, but this did.

My organization governs me, and I use the web-based version. I, too, can no longer collapse the left pane without zooming in. However, the right side is still cut off if I zoom in. The panel forces text off the screen if I remain where I have FOR YEARS as well. Damned if I do damned if I don't.

I was having the same issue but was able to resolve it pretty easily! Close out of Teams > Navigate to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Locate Microsoft Teams > Advanced Options under the 3-dots > scroll down to Reset and select it. Easier and quicker than doing an uninstall/reinstall.
