How can I fix the notification banner position for the new Microsoft Teams?

Good Morning.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, these directison are invalid for the new version. Once in settings, there is no "banner and email" section. That section disappeared with the update.

The only options available are to turn off/on notifiations or mute them. Nothing to allow for change of position for banner.

This is the issue we are all having in this thread. The new updated teams does not have the option you provided. Please assist/advise.

Accroding to your description, to change the position of the notification banner in the new Microsoft Teams, you can follow these steps:

1. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the Teams app.
2. Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
3. Click on "Notifications" in the left-hand menu.
4. Scroll down to the "Banner and email" section.
5. Under "Banner notification position," select "Bottom right" from the drop-down menu.

This should change the position of the notification banner to the lower-rightmost part of your screen.

We're all going to have to get used to this sort of thing. More and more organisations like Microsoft, Samsung, Apple, etc are giving us less configurability while at the same time forcing new options and methods upon us.

If it was on Steam I would say that review bombing could work to get their attention, again proved 2 weeks ago. As you say, they don't care at all and force this new mothod and now that it's been 6 months we are getting used to it. Hate that mentality.

It looks like Microsoft took this away with the implementation of "new" Teams and has no current plans to give us back this customization option.

I suggest anyone landing on this page navigate to the Microsoft Feedback Portal and vote for the return of this feature:

This needs to be fixed. I loathe the new teams update for many reasons... This being one of the main ones... The notification positioning and preview need to mirror classic Teams. The switch to New teams has brought 0 improvement to my use of the tool; in fact, it is a poorer experience overall.

This is no help at all. Please let us know if a fix is coming for this or at least acknowledge the issue is for NEW teams.
