Teams on iPad video rotated 90 degrees when using external display (iPad OS 16.2)

Hi all, I have a strange issue when using an external display (Dell S2721DS connected via USB-C to HDMI cable) on an iPad Pro M1 11".

If Teams is on the external display (extended, not mirrored), my outgoing video is rotated 90 degrees so I appear sideways to others in the call. When I move the Teams app to the iPad display it reverts back to the correct orientation.

This is also happening with Zoom, but not FaceTime. Can anyone else replicate this behaviour, or does anyone know a fix for it?

    +1. Same issue.

    The absurdity of this is we often present things on Teams meeting. It is often better to view Teams on an external monitor to see the details of what’s being presented, but Microsoft has scuttled the effectiveness of an external monitor and refuse or are unable to fix it.

    Same issue still not solved for so long.

    Face cam image always rotates 90° when using Microsoft Teams on an external display from an iPad (PRO M1 with iPadOS 16.5).

    This is just crazy. It seems Microsoft does not correct that issue to get people using Windows and not an alternative OS…

    I just shelled out ten million dollars for the Apple Studio display only to find out the joke’s on me too.
