Having the same issue as already raised by others. New Teams version, scroll bar disappeared. It only shows up for seconds when switching between chats and groups. It's hard to get to a group which is far down listed.

Scroll bar also gone within a chat. Need to use the up/down key to find relevant comment within a chat.
Switched back to old Teams version and everything is back fine.

Same issue here - New Teams is utterly useless. Had to go back to Classic. The only problem is I get a pop-up telling me I still have New Teams installed (unfortunately I can't remove it) and it only gives me two options - switch to New now, or switch to New later. So dumb.

I subscribe to every single word in your post. Have the same bug.

If I hit the restore window button and maximize the window again, the scrollbar re-appears, just for a brief moment, enough to scroll up or down, but quite annoying in fact.

Hopefully MSFT will have a fix soon.

As you said that's temporary. Once you grab it and let go, it disappears. You would have to resize your window every time you wanted to move up and down the chat. And if you let go before you find what you're looking for, you have to start over. Even when it's temporarily visible on full screen view, mine is not grab-able. I can only grab the scroll, when I reduce the size of the window, and even then I have to act quickly, if I don't grab it in the first 3 seconds it goes away. AND for me, it doesn't always work. This works maybe 6 out of 10 times.

Hi, Gundula. I am an independent advisor, trying to help other users in the Community with my experience in Microsoft products. Please note that I am a user like you and don't work directly for Microsoft.

I’m sorry you are having trouble with the scroll bar in Microsoft Teams. I deeply understand the issue has affected your work, rest assured I will try to provide you with a solution.

I understand you already switched back to Old teams, while that is also encouraged, I would be providing you with a solution should you decide to have a change of mind.

In the article on https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/scroll-bar-in-microsoft-teams-has-disappeared/db197c69-8acd-41b1-8750-e181cfc3d49d Nik gives the following steps below as a solution:

"Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

To narrow down the issue, please check if you see a similar experience on the MS Teams web app. Go to access 'Teams Web App' https://teams.microsoft.com, use the "Use the web app instead" option to open teams in a browser(preferably Chrome or Edge) and check the outcome. It will help to isolate the issue with the desktop app.

If the issue is specific to the MS Teams desktop app, then try clearing the app cache by these steps and try again: https://www.uvm.edu/it/kb/article/clearing-teams-cache/ "
