"New Teams" multiple languages spelling check not works

This is a known issue since January.
It is ** UNACCEPTABLE ** that after all this time it has not been fixed.

Almost one year after the first complaint, Nothing has changed from MSFT.

Hi, I have upgraded to "New Teams". I'm writing in multiple languages in different chats. The "old" Version was automatically identifying the language and then do spelling check for this language as described in following article:

Unfortunately this feature does not work on the "new" teams. How can I get back this feature?

Version You have Microsoft Teams version 23306.3315.2560.6525.You've got the latest version. It was last updated on 12/7/2023. The client version is 49/23110231810.

Actually there is a workaround for those (like me) for which all the suggestions didn't work on multiple machines.
Move to your web browser and use https://teams.microsoft.com/v2/ it might have other issues but the multi language input works.

Multilingual spell checking simply does not work.

We should be allowed to select text and apply a language, as we do with Office programs or OneNote (even if the later is quite buggy).

Over the day, I write messages in 2-3 different languages.

Same here. I'm in Germany, multilingual spell check works everywhere except for MS Teams (New Teams, version 25094.310.3616.953, enforced by company).
I seem to be able to add and move a second language in the MS Teams general settings, but as soon as I go back to settings it just disappears again. Pretty annoying that a bug from late 2023 just reappears like that. Especially after it worked for me as of a few days ago.
