Why is my "Notify when available" missing when I click on a user in Teams?

This is what is missing from a user we support.

Hello WilliamHicks6,

The Notify when available feature is not available in the new Teams. Currently, you will need to select a user’s avatar or profile photo anywhere in new Teams to quickly get an overview of their online status, next available calendar slot in Outlook, work hours, local time, or work location either remote or in office.

    Hi, Patrick:

The only place I have been able to find it in the Teams Desktop app in the latest released version:

You have Microsoft Teams version 24102.2223.2870.9480. You've got the latest version. It was last checked on 6/6/2024.The client version is 49/24050307617.

"Notify When Available” feature return -- 2024/06/03

    • Chat Modality Only in Teams – need to add the contact, if not already in Chat’s Left-Pane
    • Right-Click on Name >   Choose:  Notify when available
    • Notifies availability for that Contact until  toggled off.
    • To Toggle off:   Right-Click On Name >  Choose:  Turn Notifications off.

Functions like following a “Presence”. Notifies until you turn it off.

If it is available in other Team's modalities, I have yet to find it.

It'd be great if there was a new/updated knowledge article from Microsoft on the returned feature and its admin\end-user settings and "Notify when Available" features. -- you'd think Microsoft's AI could produce that in seconds and forever plug the hole in the bane of IT's Existence -- Documentation!

I'll let you know if I learn more.

    ---Connie

    Thanks,

That is very disappointing. We all miss this function in the team.
