"Notify when available" missing

Why is my "Notify when available" missing when I click on a user in Teams?

This is what is missing from a user we support.

The Notify when available feature is not available in the new Teams. Currently, you will need to select a user’s avatar or profile photo anywhere in new Teams to quickly get an overview of their online status, next available calendar slot in Outlook, work hours, local time, or work location either remote or in office.

    I want to be notified automatically when a person becomes available again. Not by doing repeated manual checks. People can be non available or available for multiple reasons, which are not reflected in their calendar. And even a planned call can last longer than planed. Or someone has an ad-hoc call. I need to know when e.g. this call is over. Or someone can be temporarily absent. I want to be informed when that status changes. Automatically.

    As others have said, this is an asinine decision by Microsoft. This is an incredibly useful feature and it will be very disappointing if there are no plans to bring it back with the new Teams. I can't sit and watch status updates on a constant basis without the rest of my work suffering so the "notify when available" allows me to continue focus on a task while still having access to discuss with my team when they're not busy on a call or break.

    I would love to know Microsoft's reasons for removing this feature.

    This was an EXCELLENT feature! Especially when working with someone who works on the phone and it's difficult to get free time. It's a shame we lost it in the new TEAMS
