Keeps asking for Phone Permissions to join meetings

On Android, all of a sudden, Teams repeatedly says, "Teams Needs Permission" "If you want to place a call or join a meeting, go to settings and allow Phone permission to Teams."

It then takes you to Android Settings for the Teams app, and the "phone" permission IS allowed.

I've rebooted.

Cleared cache.

Cleared data

Reset the database.

Left developer preview.

Reinstalled Teams

Left the Beta and done all of the above over and over.

It isn't honoring the permissions that are set. So I can't join any meetings. Please advise.

    Same problem I cannot use teams anymore to join calls. It's broken.

    Dear Brend&n,

    Kindly ask your IT support administrator to check on it from the admin portal, if need ask him/her to contact with Microsoft support from the admin portal and check please.

    Same here - Teams on Android totally broken - both release and beta versions.

    C'mon Microsoft - this is an important tool these days, how could this have got out of testing?

    Do try Beta, its working for me.

    Weird enough, after I installed Beta, restarted, I also got 'pushed' the production version that stillhas same settings challenge.

    For now, I am sticking to Beta because its working. I can make calls and its stable!... :( or :)

    Hi

    Thanks for the suggestion, sadly that made no difference for me - same issue. It says I'm on 1416/1.0.0.2022412701...

    I remain astonished that Microsoft put out a version with type of issue and haven't responded...
