Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
Same problem as of today. Samunsg note 20.

On Android, all of a sudden, Teams repeatedly says, "Teams Needs Permission" "If you want to place a call or join a meeting, go to settings and allow Phone permission to Teams."
It then takes you to Android Settings for the Teams app, and the "phone" permission IS allowed.
I've rebooted.
Cleared cache.
Cleared data
Reset the database.
Left developer preview.
Reinstalled Teams
Left the Beta and done all of the above over and over.
It isn't honoring the permissions that are set. So I can't join any meetings. Please advise.

I have had the same issue with the latest update to MS Teams for Android on Android 13.
The app has been granted all permissions which it asks for. However, it still says that the app needs "Phone" permission to join a meeting while it has been granted the permissions.
Same issue. Just to add some more information - incoming and outgoing calls are working correctly in Android Teams version:
1416/1.0.0.2022395202
and not working in:
1416/1.0.0.2022412701
and I am also using Android 12 on this device.
With the newer version I am not able to make/receive calls or join meetings.
Please look at this with a high priority.
Thanks!
I also have an iPhone and I'm unable to join meetings: "There was a problem joining. Please try again."
This is futile of course, and it doesn't indicate anything around permissions. But the Teams app on my iPhone did just update. So I'm completely dead in the water.
At least my laptop works.
Please advise.
I am having the exact same problem. The article does not help as there is no app permissions section. This started after my Teams app updated overnight on my Galaxy Fold 4. I can not make or receive calls on my Android phone.
This is critical of course.
