On Android, all of a sudden, Teams repeatedly says, "Teams Needs Permission" "If you want to place a call or join a meeting, go to settings and allow Phone permission to Teams."
It then takes you to Android Settings for the Teams app, and the "phone" permission IS allowed.
I've rebooted.
Cleared cache.
Cleared data
Reset the database.
Left developer preview.
Reinstalled Teams
Left the Beta and done all of the above over and over.
It isn't honoring the permissions that are set. So I can't join any meetings. Please advise.

Unable to make any calls on phone due to this issue
for me the following worked:
horrible i cant meet my galaxy TAB s8 ultra.
It works for me on my Note20 Ultra.
The key would be "waited for a few hours".
I was enrolled into the Android BETA programme which gave me the Teams BETA.. I left the BETA programme and downloaded the latest release version and calls then worked.
