accessory center.desktop bridge.device service.exe freezing MS teams application.
When I use the Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset 8JR-00001 with MS Teams call it freezes the MS teams application. I unplug the USB receiver that it comes with then re-plug it into the computer then it works. I have tried the following as a work around:
When I got to the Microsoft accessory center I reset the headset to factory default and it resolves some of issues that were reported.
The other fix I have found is to connect the headset via Bluetooth
please let me know if anyone else has had this issue.
I am starting to look at this application : accessory center.desktop bridge.device service.exe
to see if this has something to do with this.
What has not worked is : removing MS teams and clearing out all folders that have files after the uninstall of the MS teams APP.
I opened a new box and got a new headset and that still didnt work.
*******************************************************************************UPDATE Aug 2023*******************************************************
For my environment the issue has now gone away with Microsoft sending the update to our tenant. For each user that was using the work around (Bluetooth or a different brand of headset) the dongle is now working once again. If your org still is having issue please open a formal ticket using with the Admin for of the Microsoft Teams. Then I would refer them to this thread for support.
thanks for helping guys

Hello,
got MS Teams release 1.6.00.26474 and USB dongle firmware 1.20 (udated by MS without any input from me), however today got sound distorced issue again as it was with firmware 1.0.
Only solution was to disconnect USB dongle and riconnect.
Anyone is still experiencing same issue?
Model: Modern Wireless Headset
Hardware version: 6
Firmware version: 2.29.139
Region code: 1
Model: Microsoft USB Link
Hardware version: 0.0.1.255
Firmware version : 1.20
Thank you
Ok it does the firmware update on the USB Link automatically; it does not even ask if you want to update or tell you that it has done it. It won't be found in windows update or via the device manager "Update driver". I just plugged one in and it said it was at 1.0 in the accessory Center, then like a minute later I got the windows sound for USB device disconnected and reconnected sound (as the dongle rebooted) and now it shows 1.2.
I got the firmware 1.20 installed after updating Microsoft firmware 1.21.1.0 (08.2023 22H2) from the Windows catalog. Microsoft Update-Katalog
In our company we do not distribute these drivers automatically. I came across this when I did the “check online for updates from Microsoft Update” option in Windows Updates. Later it installed the Firmware 1.20.
Now we still have to test it. I hope it works.
