Delete a Plan in New Teams Planner

I am using New Teams.

I want to delete a plan I created but can't work out how.

All online advice refers to 3 dots or "settings" that don't exist, and perhaps are referencing Classic Teams.

The plan is listed under Shared Plans.

The App is called Tasks by Planner and To Do (By Microsoft)

Thanks

For those who are still having this issue, at this current point in time you still can't delete a plan directly through teams, but you can do it through the Planner web app in the browser. I was able to do so by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Teams channel where the plan is located.
  2. Click on the dropdown of the "Tasks" tab at the top of the channel (or whatever plan you are trying to delete).
  3. Click "Open in browser" to open the plan in your browser.
  4. Click the 3 dots at the upper middle of the screen, next to Grid, Board, Charts, Schedule, Timeline.
  5. Click "Plan Settings".
  6. At the bottom of the side pane, click "Delete this plan".
  7. Check "I understand that this plan and all of its tasks will be permanently deleted", then click "Delete".

Good luck with it,

Grant

Just a note, it won't necessarily be called "Tasks" - the tab name will be whatever you called the plan. Also, you should be able to delete the plan through the Tasks web app (https://tasks.office.com/), if you created the plan through the new Teams planner app:

  1. Go to https://tasks.office.com/
  2. On the left of the screen (desktop mode), select the plan you are trying to delete (you may have to click "Show More")
  3. Click the 3 dots at the upper middle of the screen, next to Grid, Board, Charts, Schedule, Timeline.
  4. Click "Plan Settings".
  5. At the bottom of the side pane, click "Delete this plan".
  6. Check "I understand that this plan and all of its tasks will be permanently deleted", then click "Delete".

Good luck with it,

Grant

The plan is not seen in task, it is only seen in teams.

I have cleared the teams cache but it doesn't work.

FactorN, If you have Microsoft Planner app added into your MS Teams view then in "My Tasks" it will show you ALL tasks assigned to you from various sources. Some tasks may NOT be related to a specific "Plan" as they could be a task you created manually within MS Teams Planner app OR from Outlook. In the column labeled "Plan" it will indicate where the task originated from (e.g. Outlook follow up flag from an email, a private task you made for yourself right in MS Planner via Teams, OR an actual Plan created by clicking on "+ New Plan" at the bottom left corner in the Planner app view as shown in snapshot 2). To DELETE a plan that is NOT SHARED is easy...you just click on the plan name in the plan view and it will pop up another window which will show you an option at bottom to Delete Plan (see snapshot 3). HOWEVER, if you want to delete a SHARED PLAN then you MUST go into the Tasks & Planner App which is only accessible through web browser https://tasks.office.com/  then follow instructions that Grant has provided. I don't have the 3 dots you have shown as No. 1. Any idea why mine is different?
