Why is MS Teams jumping to a different chat than the one I chose to be in?

When I'm in a MS Teams chat with someone, it just jumps to another chat without notice. It happens when I'm not clicking on anything.

This is the version I have:

    I've updated to the most recent version, and it is still having the same issue, especially when you try to send a gif, emoji, or sticker. It's been going on for at least 6 months now and none of the updates have addressed this issue. MSFT needs to get on this ASAP, as it is a security risk.

    Same for me and my organization. None of the suggested fixes have worked for us either.

    Same issue, new teams client, happens when I leave my mouse on a chat window and then move it after a few seconds, or when I react to a message, or when I finish typing a message, etc, etc

    Microsoft Teams version 24165.1414.2987.41. You've got the latest version. It was last checked on 22/07/2024.The client version is 49/24061318408.

    This is also a bug for me and in my organisation. I am using version 24152.415.2975.367, which is newer than the version that OP is using yet it is still an issue.

    It also seems to have nothing to do with typing a letter and jumping to a chat with that name, as it can do it when I am not touching the keyboard at all.

    Microsoft any update on this issue? It has been nearly a month since OP first reported it.
