Microsoft Teams Room version 5.2.115.0 bug: Teams Room account can't login

1. Admin login and Download the URL. Extract it to C:\Microsoft.SkypeTeam.
2. Skype login:
   1. Powershell as admin,
      1. Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned
      2. .\14c005c02e994b25a7cd5016c21284b8.appx
      3. Click the Reinstall
3. Reboot.
4. Setting - Reset device.
5. Auto checking updating, Then accept some of the required statements.
6. Enter account and password to login.
7. Check the sign-in logs on the azure if still unable login.(my case said invaild user and password.)
8. Reset password on the https://admin.microsoft.com/
9. Check the audit logs on the user. ensure saw the event of reset user password and update user.
10. Done.

Hope this helps you, no need to uninstall anything, just overwrite the installation.

We had two rooms impacted, and this got us back online.

Thank for for providing the link to the previous version. This has fixed all our problems.

After uninstall and manual install via the package, don't forget to disable Auto-Update in the MS Store.

Otherwise the App will update to the not working new version again.

Basically the App Version 5.2.115.0 does not support Systems any longer, that are not running with the default "Skype" user!

Thanks for the steps but I'm not sure how anyone is signing in as Skype and running anything. If I uninstall Teams room and login to the Skype account all I get is a blank screen and can't do anything. And if you haven't uninstalled it, logging in as Skype is just going to bring up the Teams room interface.

Not running the Teams Rooms app under the Skype user have never been supported by Microsoft. Remaining on 5.1.x is not a supported path as only the current and one revision of the Teams Rooms app are supported. So when 5.3 is released, 5.1 will not be supported.

For those downgrading their devices to Teams Rooms 5.1, please ensure you've opened a support case and are working to determine why 5.2 is not functional in your environment. All root causes we've found thus far have been caused by modifications customers have made to the out of box configuration of their Teams Rooms devices (or running non-certified hardware). These modifications are outside of our supported scenarios and will continue to cause problems long term. From telemetry, more than 50% of Teams Rooms on Windows devices are already successfully operating on 5.2.115.0.

Likewise, running 5.1 and disabling automatic updates is not supported nor a long-term functional path for your devices. We support N and N-1 releases of Teams Rooms so when 5.3 is released to general availability the 5.1 app will not be supported and will likely stop functioning shortly after release due to some planned legacy service changes.
