Microsoft Teams Room version 5.2.115.0 bug: Teams Room account can't login

Hello,

I work as an AV integrator and we currently have roughly 100 Microsoft Teams Room machines installed.

Since last tuesday we have been notified of multiple rooms (10 so far) where the Microsoft Teamsroom account cannot login.

All these rooms have in commen that the Microsoft Teams Room application has been updated (automatically) to version 5.2.115.0

Previous versions of the Microsoft Teams Room application do not show these issues.

Is there a way we can downgrade these machines to an older working version?

    Hi GISB156a,

    1. Admin login and Download the URL. Extract it to C:\Microsoft.SkypeTeam.
    2. Skype login:
      1. Powershell as admin,
        1. Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned
        2. .\14c005c02e994b25a7cd5016c21284b8.appx
        3. Click the Reinstall
    3. Reboot.
    4. Setting - Reset device.
    5. Auto checking updating, Then accept some of the required statements.
    6. Enter account and password to login.
    7. Check the sign-in logs on the azure if still unable login.(my case said invaild user and password.)
    8. Reset password on the https://admin.microsoft.com/
    9. Check the audit logs on the user. ensure saw the event of reset user password and update user.
    10. Done.

    Hope this helps you, no need to uninstall anything, just overwrite the installation.

    Thanks for the steps but I'm not sure how anyone is signing in as Skype and running anything. If I uninstall Teams room and login to the Skype account all I get is a blank screen and can't do anything. And if you haven't uninstalled it, logging in as Skype is just going to bring up the Teams room interface.

    Downgrade link below, however you'll need to run the powershell to remove the existing MTR:

    https://agent.rooms.microsoft.com/files/public/softwareupdates/onboarding/Appx/Microsoft.SkypeTeam.RigelApp_5.1.28.0_x64_Ship.appx_Windows10_PreinstallKit.zip

    We had two rooms impacted, and this got us back online.

    Thank for for providing the link to the previous version. This has fixed all our problems.

    After uninstall and manual install via the package, don't forget to disable Auto-Update in the MS Store.

    Otherwise the App will update to the not working new version again.

    Basically the App Version 5.2.115.0 does not support Systems any longer, that are not running with the default "Skype" user!

    I can't find the ps command, but pretty sure you can remove from Windows > Settings > Apps. Does not show in control panel. And see my original comment above with the path the the .appx for 5.1.28.0. Of course this is all contingent you are using Windows 11 gui
