Hello
I see a lot of threads and people moaning about Double beep when muted on Teams when using a Shokz headset which is the problem I have. (Headset previously called AfterShokz)
I use a work computer so do not have admin rights, and muting shoks headset by pressing the +/- volume keys does not stop the beeping noise.
Any help would be appreciated.

Understand that your work around has been successful for most, but having to adjust a specific device settings it is not truly plug and play as it should be. This should be addressed in the Teams software to actually fix the issue and not require a workaround.
I contacted with SHOKZ Customer Support and gave them feedback about this problem
It's SHOKZ default setting and we need to work around it.... anyway I will buy new headphones and won't go back to Shokz... (For using with MS Team)
Too bad the +- solution isn't working anymore. A work-around that works for me (for now...) is switching to the microphone of my laptop. My AfterShokz headset says "Mute Off" when I do so, and the annoying beep stops.
During a Teams meeting go to "... More" and select "Settings / Device Settings" and then select a microphone that is not AfterShokz.

This worked for me. THANK YOU!! It did cause an issue with my Zoom phone, it started using the PC speaker and mic and did not work to switch back, so had to enable it back again. For now, I think I will just use different headphones or maybe try using the web version of Teams for the meetings. (The meetings on Teams are short and once a day)
