New Teams prompting "The parameter is incorrect" error.

New Teams has been advertising itself to many of my users. Majority of the company has made the switch, but others are running into a parameter error. Strange bit is, I can get it to work for about 5 days. Afterwards, I'm guessing an update takes place, and New Teams refuses to open and throws a parameter error. I've tried reinstalling the application multiple times and downloading the app installer. Nothing seems to work.

    And with nothing changed, in a non-persistent instant clone environment that prevents updates to Teams, I present the return of the "The parameter is incorrect" error! "Glad" to have you back! Maybe Microsoft will properly address you...but I doubt it.

    Can you send me your support case number? I will make sure this gets closed since there is no troubleshooting needed.

    The fix will come in the next FSLogix release, as soon as we have an ETA I will update here in this thread

    Hello,

    Same for me within my Citrix XenDesktop environment with FSLogix including 2.9.8784.63912 fix.

    On my AV pool I added these exclusions :

    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MSTeams_*\ms-teams.exe

    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MSTeams_*\ms-teamsupdate.exe

    C:\Program Files\FSLogix\Apps\frxsvc.exe

    I installed Teams version 24004.1307.2669.7070 with bootstrapper.exe by running .\teamsbootstrapper.exe -p -o "c:\teams\MSTeams-x64.msix"

    The result of the installation is ‘Successful’.

    I disabled autoupdate by adding ‘Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Teams\ disableAutoUpdate’ key.

    I already tried to repair Teams via Apps control panel, without success.

    When I’m clicking on ‘OK’ button to the parameter error and waiting some minutes, Teams will open when run from the Start menu.

    Hi all,

    i´m working in two different environments and got this error also when the AV exlusions are configured.

    Currently in ENV 1 with TrendMicro Apex One and ENV 2 with Sentinel One AV.

    Both on Server 2019, with FSLOGIX and latest FSLOGIX (Private Fix 2210 HF4).

    The Servers are installed completly automated. When deploying a server without AV the error does not occur.

    This is driving me nuts and is completely unacceptable imho.

    Please dont set deadlines for products, whose successor even cant be rolled out for testing.

    Hey Femi!

    I gave that a go with no luck. Fully repaired Office and updated the Teams client.

    Of note, when I select the slider to switch to the new Teams from classic, I'm prompted with "Something went wrong and we couldn't open the new Teams. Please try again."
