Hi all,
The way I work is that I have Teams open on the half of my 3rd small screen (laptop).
Today I realized that recent chats pane just stay open which means that actual chat is now 1/4 of the screen.... (small slice)
Previously I had to hover over chats icon and then select which chat I want to answer.
This feature works when I zoom in A LOT (ctrl +) but it's impossible to work this way.
I tried following things:

Teams Client version: 49/24080212008
Everything works fine under version: 49/24071128825
Can somebody assist please? :)

This happened to one of my coworkers this morning to fix it he:

Why was this feature available previously? Or maybe a better question is, why was it removed? Because this was standard in Teams until today (for me). Why is a standard feature no longer available with no warning?
Same issue here as of today. Maybe with enough complaints, Microsoft will bring this helpful feature back to us.
I sure do hope so, they shouldn't make changes like that without warning users because I have been trying to figure out how to fix it and wasting my time lol

Whyteamswhy partially answered the question. Zoom in on your text until the pane goes away. Then resize the Teams window to the size you want it to be. Then start to zoom back out from the text. There is a threshold but you will be able to get very close to what you had previously before the update and the chat pane will remain hidden. I have tried this on several machines and it has worked for all of them so far.
