When muting my Jabra headset by pulling the mic up, why does it mute me completely and I cannot hear anyone talking?

This trick didnt work for me. Nothing seems to fix this issue.

Same issue tested today

Headset Jabra Evolve2 75 (MS Teams version)

DELL XPS device with connected headset directly over bluetooth, functionality fine, mic is working as it should, when closing the mic = mute, when pushing the mute button on the headset it mutes.

Surface 9 Pro with connected headset over bluetooth, same as previous users said, closing the mic results muting the whole thing also the headset. Pushing the mute button on the headset = doesn't mute at all, saying mute and same second unmute.

Surface 9 Pro with jabra link dongle and headset over the dongle, everything fine. No issues and works like on the DELL device with no adapter.

Headset is already on the last firmware version. It's clearly SURFACE issue how the surface handles the jabra device over bluetooth.

Windows 10 22H2 latest updates installed..

I have this same issue with my Jabra Evolve2 65 when connected through bluetooth.

And although the volume button trick on the headset of @jbedoya works, this is not how it should.

Is there any progress on this?

EDIT: with some further testing i found out that the "head-set" mode is not selectable in the dropdown teams.

I remember having 2 "speaker" options in the speaker downdown menu in teams for my headset:

1. Jabra Evolve2 65 (Hands-free) <<< seems missing
2. Jabra Evolve2 65 (stereo)

However in my bluetooth connection setting in WIN11 i see "Speech + Stereo".

Kindly follow the steps below to Jabra device for use with Microsoft Teams

1.Click on your profile picture at the top of the Teams window.

2.Click Settings, then Devices.

In Devices, select your Jabra device under Audio devices.

If you are using a Jabra wireless device, select the connected Bluetooth adapter, such as the Jabra Link 370.

You may check also the settings of your default mic with the settings below.

1.To select the mic, speaker, and camera you want Teams to use for calls and meetings, select Settings and more Select to see more options next to your profile picture at the top of Teams and then choose Settings > Devices.

2.Under Audio devices, pick the speaker and mic you want Teams to use by default.

If you have multiple certified devices connected to your computer, you can set one as your secondary ringer, which means it'll ring when a call comes in. Answer incoming calls on any device—not just the ones that ring.
