Microsoft Teams Copying Name, Timestamp, and Message

From my experience, it appears the copy function Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V no longer will include the date/time of a chat post no matter what you do.
The only way I have been able to recover this is by using Copilot within the app and ask it to do something like:
**Can you show me the complete chat from Monday with time stamps, showing the time stamp first?**This works but if it is a long chat it will only will show a certain amount of the conversation. :(
PLEASE FIX THIS SO THOSE OF US THAT NEED TO DOCUMENT CHATS WITH DATE & TIMES CAN DO SO.
It is extremely frustrating to have to use all these workarounds to do what was so easy to do until Microsoft decided to change it.

Does anyone know if there is a thread we can upvote to make this an optional feature?

The more up-votes one item gets, however, the greater chance someone at MS listens... *crosses fingers*

I have been frustrated with this exact thing for the last few weeks.
I often copy teams messages with names and timestamps when updating tickets when the conversations have pertinent info in them.

It's frustrated me to only get the messages and have to indicate who said what at what time as this is now taking so much extra time that's unnecessary.

Unfortunately, our IT department just upgraded our workstations to Win11, so I wasn't sure if it was a Teams update that happened or the difference between win10 and win11, since there were other features and apps that are different within win11.

I really hope Microsoft DOES implement this as an option though, as it IS beneficial for those of us that need or want timestamps along with who said what in a conversation.

I was expecting to see the name, date, and time like normal when I was copying a message. I had also found it useful to have it included on other communication pieces.

A workaround that worked for me is using the web version and copying the text from a MS Teams message like normal and it worked.

Example:

[10:36 AM] Tim Shivanonda (External)

I wish I could copy text from the desktop application with the timestamp
