My Airpods Gen 4 is very soft when I am on a Teams call in the app.

I can also confirm that the "fix" to switch microphone to any other microphone does resolve the low volume issue.

But this is not a solution as it 100% qualifies as a hack in my opinion. This is simply unacceptable of Microsoft.

Please fix this as AirPods are one of the most widely used bluetooth audio devices in the world.

I am experiencing the same issue with my Apple AirPods 4.

I have spent several hours troubleshooting this with both Apple Support and my workplace IT department, but unfortunately, no resolution has been found.

It appears that this is a compatibility issue with Microsoft Teams, as the problem persists despite all efforts to resolve it. This has been ongoing for months, and it is unacceptable that users are unable to utilize their AirPods effectively with Teams during this time.

The primary reason I upgraded to the AirPods 4 was to enhance my experience in virtual meetings, including those on Microsoft Teams.

I urge Microsoft to address this issue promptly.

I understand you are trying to do your job, but NONE of the fixes work or WILL work simply because Windows can't manage/handle new Airpods 4 drivers. As simple as that. We are just asking for a solution here from Microsoft. And no, having the Airpods with no microphone is not a fix or a solution.

By the look of this thread, lots of people are having issues, and none of these fixes work. It's been going on for months now!

1. Have you checked to ensure that the correct audio device is selected in Teams? Go to your Teams settings by clicking on your profile picture, then select "Settings" > "Devices". Under "Audio devices", make sure your Airpods are selected for both the speaker and microphone.
2. Have you checked to make sure you are using the latest version of the Teams app? Sometimes, audio issues can be resolved by updating to the latest version.
3. Have you checked your system sound settings to ensure that Teams is not being limited? Right-click on the sound icon in the taskbar, select "Open Sound settings", and then "App volume and device preferences". Ensure that Teams is set to 100% volume.
4. Sometimes, audio issues can be caused by exclusive mode settings. Go to "Sound settings" > "Device properties" > "Additional device properties". Under the "Advanced" tab, uncheck the boxes under "Exclusive Mode".
5. Clearing the Teams cache can sometimes resolve audio issues. Close Teams, then navigate to %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams in File Explorer and delete all files and folders in that directory. Restart Teams and see if the issue is resolved.
6. If none of the above steps work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Teams app.

Seems like a simple driver issue that can be rectified quickly and easily.
