Teams for Android does not work with Bluetooth.

Teams will not recognise Bluetooth headphones when joining calls.

I have tried restarting, clearing cache, clearing storage and reinstalling. I have tried multiple different models of headphones from completely different manufacturers. I have tried different phones.

This is not a user issue. This is an issue with the application. Several posts have been made.

Please fix it.

EDIT: the 'Nearby Devices' permission will fix this issue in most cases. For me, it worked temporarily (for one call) and then reverted to the same issue. However, the issue does now seem to be fixed - I have had consistent success for about 2 months now. I am assuming that a recent update to the app has fixed an issue that was causing this.

Hi Chris,

I had the same problem, and I noticed it was because of the permission setting of TEAMS.

I reinstalled Teams and accepted the "Nearby devices." access and it works now.

Same issue with OPPO A94 5G (CPH2211) with up-to-date Teams app. Please fix this bug, now Teams has become useless while driving.

I had MS Team working with both my bluetooth earbuds till two months back on my Samsung A55 , but they stopped working all of a sudden.

Now I just cannot use any bud with MS Teams. All other apps work well.

Now I dont know if its MS Teams problem or a Samsung problem. Note Samsung is desperate to promote Bixby its Assistant against Google Assistant. Although disabled, Bixby tends to insert itself into the mix, every time you try to bypass it.

MS Teams and buds work perfectly with my Android (non Samsung) Pad, I would suspect Samsung is upto something here.

I have these permisions for the teams app. When I used to keep microphone, nearby devices and location permisions off the Bluetooth option would disappear. Strange but that's how it is.

Same issue here on Samsung Galaxy S20.

Teams was working with Bluetooth. I updated Teams on 13 December 2022.

    Tried everything!
