Teams for Android does not work with Bluetooth.

Teams will not recognise Bluetooth headphones when joining calls.

I have tried restarting, clearing cache, clearing storage and reinstalling. I have tried multiple different models of headphones from completely different manufacturers. I have tried different phones.

This is not a user issue. This is an issue with the application. Several posts have been made.

Please fix it.

EDIT: the 'Nearby Devices' permission will fix this issue in most cases. For me, it worked temporarily (for one call) and then reverted to the same issue. However, the issue does now seem to be fixed - I have had consistent success for about 2 months now. I am assuming that a recent update to the app has fixed an issue that was causing this.

Hi Chris,

I had the same problem, and I noticed it was because of the permission setting of TEAMS.

I reinstalled Teams and accepted the "Nearby devices." access and it works now.

The one thing that seemed to fix it for me was giving MS Teams permissions for Music & Audio.

Thanks for your help. In the meanwhile I did:

    • Factory reset and complete reinstall of the phone
    • Granted all possible permissions to MS Teams

    Unfortunately the issue persists :-(

Finally I found the issue. I uninstalled MS Teams completely on the work profile and installed the latest version from Play store on the private profile.

    And IT WORKS!

So it must be an issue caused by the version managed by the organization.

Uninstalling and re-installing seems to help temporarily - and sometimes.

My issues started last week (as others), and yesterday I was able to fix it by uninstalling and re-installing. It worked for couple of hours, until I ran to the same issue yet again. I tried the uninstalling and re-installing, twice or thrice actually, and no luck. BT headset didn't work. All installations were from Play store using the private profile.

Inspired by your post I decided to do it once more, and this time it worked. Nothing else changed, except perhaps the first login was done with different profile than earlier today. Now it works again, and I am able to switch between all three different teams accounts which I have and the BT works fine.

Btw, my setup is quite identical as yours, a bit older OnePlus (7 Pro) but same headset. Also in another thread about this issue there are couple persons having OnePlus.
