Teams for Android does not work with Bluetooth.

Teams will not recognise Bluetooth headphones when joining calls.

I have tried restarting, clearing cache, clearing storage and reinstalling. I have tried multiple different models of headphones from completely different manufacturers. I have tried different phones.

This is not a user issue. This is an issue with the application. Several posts have been made.

Please fix it.

EDIT: the 'Nearby Devices' permission will fix this issue in most cases. For me, it worked temporarily (for one call) and then reverted to the same issue. However, the issue does now seem to be fixed - I have had consistent success for about 2 months now. I am assuming that a recent update to the app has fixed an issue that was causing this.

Hi Chris,

I had the same problem, and I noticed it was because of the permission setting of TEAMS.

I reinstalled Teams and accepted the "Nearby devices." access and it works now.

It has magically started working with my car's bluetooth about two months ago, so it is functional for Teams. It WILL NOT link with my hearing aids. i've tried restarting teams, the phone, etc. there is zero recognition that the hearing aids exist, even though i can take calls and listen to music on my phone through the hearing aids. it's something with the connection with Teams that's not working.

They are Starkey Evolv AI 1200, if it matters. I've had them for just a few months - March maybe? so they're brand new, top of the line, cost more than my first three cars combined (before insurance). Super fancy schmancy. Pretty sure it's not them, since every other app with audio works over bluetooth EXCEPT teams.

it's really annoying not be able to listen to calls on teams. i use a cane and if i have to hold my phone to my ear when getting around, i literally can't carry anything else. I'm stuck in my office all of the time when. Would really appreciate Microsoft getting this resolved!
