Teams for Android does not work with Bluetooth.

Teams will not recognise Bluetooth headphones when joining calls.

I have tried restarting, clearing cache, clearing storage and reinstalling. I have tried multiple different models of headphones from completely different manufacturers. I have tried different phones.

This is not a user issue. This is an issue with the application. Several posts have been made.

Please fix it.

EDIT: the 'Nearby Devices' permission will fix this issue in most cases. For me, it worked temporarily (for one call) and then reverted to the same issue. However, the issue does now seem to be fixed - I have had consistent success for about 2 months now. I am assuming that a recent update to the app has fixed an issue that was causing this.

Hi Chris,

I had the same problem, and I noticed it was because of the permission setting of TEAMS.

I reinstalled Teams and accepted the "Nearby devices." access and it works now.

    This is correct answer for me. Apparently there have been some changes in location permissions that are required for Bluetooth in Android 12, and the required changes are not implemented in Teams.

    I opened the application settings inside Android system settings, and allowed the location permission.

    Confirm it works on Samsung S20+ with latest firmware and MS Teams

    On an Samsung Android:

    -Settings>apps>

    -Click top right ... >Select Permission Manager

    -Nearby devices> Select Teams > Allow

    -Connect to your Bluetooth device

    -Start a teams call

    -Click on the speaker during the call and select the Bluetooth device

    Took me 5 min to change it. Thx a lottttt !

    I have the same problem. Google pixel 6A. It no longer shows any Bluetooth option no matter what device I'm connected to
